James
James is one of originators of our little riding group. He was born in Beautiful British Columbia in the tiny Villiage of Tofino on Vancouver Island & got hooked on exploration early in life, usually while on fishing trips with his parents. Later, when he was older, he would take his '72 Yamaha Enduro to the hills of Princeton, Tulameen & Coalmont & explore the local silver & gold mines. Coming to Alberta almost 25 years ago, he thought his days of exploration were over but when he took up his old passion... riding motorcycle, he started his passion for exploration once again as it seemed Alberta had alot of history to offer with many old homesteads strewn throughout the province. Meeting Michael, also a native of BC & also an avid explorer was the beginning of The Ghost Riders. Together, they document a fading history in the photographs they take as they know one day, these old places are sure to fade away.

Michael
Born and raised in Penticton BC, Michael spent most of his life exploring the back roads of BC starting at an early age on the back of Dads XT200 then on his own Honda CR80. Camping, fishing and watching Gold Trails and Ghost Towns on CHBC fueled a passion for exploration and adventure at an early age. It was a chance meeting at the gas station beside the Tim Hortons that led to Michael to find James and head out on what would later be coined a "Ghost Ride". 1000's of kilometers and two province's later the camera is still clicking and the bikes still running. When Michael isn't riding he is usually working in the garage listening to his favorite albums while restoring some neglected classic. Michael's main Ghost Ride Machine is his 2007 Kawasaki Versys 650 which has proven itself to be a fantastic machine.
This winter will be about continuing to improve his photography and editing skills while compiling enough images to release the first Ghost Rides book sometime next year.
